About the JURK EDIH Project
The main goal of the JURK EDIH project is to encourage the digital transformation of business processes of small and midsized enterprises and the public sector, with a special focus on the following technologies:
- artificial Intelligence
- gamification
- Blockchain
- Internet of Things.
EDIH is co-financed in the total amount of EUR 2.3 million with the funds from the European Commission through the DIGITAL EUROPE program and funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan 2021 -2026 managed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development. The project started on December 1, 2022, and the expected duration is 3 years, with the possibility of extending the duration for a minimum of 1 more year.
AI & GAMING (JURK) EDIH is part of the initial network of European digital innovation centers (hubs), which has 151 hubs, of which only 4 are in Croatia. These are, along with AI & Gaming EDIH, EDIH ADRIA (edihadria.eu), AI4Health.Cro (ai4healthcro.eu) and CROBOHUB++ (crobohub.fer.hr). The EDIHs represent a coordinated effort by the European Commission for as many small and midsized enterprises as possible to adopt various digital tools and technologies by 2030 in order to be as competitive, efficient and successful as possible. This is why large funds are allocated from the DIGITAL program of the European Commission, as well as from national resilience and recovery programs, for the construction of digital infrastructure and capacities.
One of the essential components in the functioning of EDIHs is their international cooperation. In other words, if an EDIH does not possess any specific knowledge for the client’s digitization project, it can find that know-how at a partner EDIH from any part of the EU!
